Internship Opportunities

Art Administration Internship

The Frederick Festival of the Arts is seeking a bright and motivated intern to assist in administrative tasks.

The Frederick Festival of Arts is a local non-profit organization located in downtown Frederick. Their mission is to promote, produce, and sponsor events and activities that encourage the appreciation, study and performance of the arts. The Festival hosts a fine arts festival with over 130 artists from over 20 states, dozens of talented performing artists and fun art activities for families.

As an intern for the Festival, your main responsibility is to keep communication lines open between the artists, volunteers, entertainers, board members, and community organizers. This will include:

  • Managing and updating the current database of artists' information.
  • Helping with program creation.
  • Handling large mailings and ordering office supplies.

Hours are flexible, and interns are expected to work 20 to 30 hours per week.

This is a wonderful opportunity to experience different aspects of a non-profit organization, including Marketing, Fundraising, and Logistics.

Email your letter of interest and résumé to festarts@fred.net.
